Only one Admin

This has come to my attention that there is one player related admin that deals with 'events' due to irregularity's in the server in unnatural occurring circumstances.

This includes replacing items which i have had problems with more then once that hold significant value to me. After spending several hours doing mind numbing activities just for it to be taken away from you is not what you want. Its frustrating that it happens for me and for the people that have to deal with it and hear it in a forum and on the server.

Having lost my sword to a clear lag it took me 2 days to get it back.
This wouldn't be a problem if the sword didn't have inquisitive 4 on it but it does. I could have lied about my sword being a legendary sword and got one for free but i didn't as it was just a maxed out one with the rare book on it.

I got the sword back. However later that day after changing my key bind to ' i ' after it was reset to ' q ' before hand i tried tying in chat by hitting ' t ' first but i missed the hey and started my sentence with ' i ' which is now my drop item key...

After realizing i didn't have the sword i looked in the chest and hopper but it wasn't there. As i believe it sat on top and i could not pick it up for clear lag to remove it.

Just because a problem has happened once doesn't mean it cant happen again and i don't think i should be punished for a bug in the game

Also i have posted a lot of evidence which takes a lot of effort to construct. I'm not going to just accept it as i don't feel like this is fair.



Getting back to the post in hand there is one active admin with power to sort this out. This means if they don't have time to help me out i cant turn to someone else for help. I know this server has staff that is active and are more then happy to deal with this stuff especially if it is evenly spread between a couple people. I don't want to have to ask the same staff member for help every time something like this happens.

Hello, @Kenko.

Thank you for expressing your concerns about this, I discussed a similar topic with you the other day via discord, and it was nice to hear your thoughts on things, and feedback from the players’ perspective.

As I mentioned to you during our conversation, we currently have 5 Admins on the team, who all deal with different aspects of the server. AJHandler, Boomclaw and Dynsalir work more "behind the scenes" with plugins and resolving issues within the different gamemodes, as well as Dacon, who deals with this stuff primarily too. The other two admins, ChocBar (Purpz) and SunsetMagic, do deal with the support section of the forums to the best of their ability, but for some issues, they may need Dacon’s approval, or there may be an on-going issue that requires the developers to look into.

Currently, ChocBar is on vacation (edit: she’s currently back!), but has been checking in now and then on the forums - While she’s not actively responding to tickets at the moment, this doesn’t mean she never does. SunsetMagic is very good at dealing with the tickets that she can help out with, and has a schedule (at least what I’ve noticed), where she will deal with the support tickets for a certain amount of time each day. Some moderators also respond to tickets and pass them on, or report any bugs/issues to take some of the weight off of the admins, but as mods there’s only so much we can really do, and a majority of the issues that are reported, are things only Admins and higher can really resolve.

While I completely understand your frustration, I’d just like to remind you that there are lots of support tickets that get sent daily, even hourly! It’s quite overwhelming, even for the Admins. If all 5 of the admins were to deal with the support section, then yes, issues would definitely be resolved far quicker, but considering a majority of them deal with server-side issues behind the scenes, then those issues would take even longer to get resolved, and even more players would become frustrated with the amount of bugs and glitches. Being an administrator; while very honouring - is also something that can’t be taken lightly. Staff are promoted through the different roles based on a variety of factors, and it requires a lot of trust and knowledge. It’d be completely obscene if the staff order went from Helper > Mod > Admin, and soon enough have a server full of admins with no moderators to deal with the issues in-game.

Personally, I believe there's a certain balance that the staff team needs to have, although this means some support tickets take a little longer to be dealt with, I believe our current team has the perfect balance. It’d be great to see more admins, and more staff in-general on the team, but that’s something that would be up to Dacon to decide.

We actually have two, but ones on vacation. The issues with the clear lag have been reported. I appreciate your concern.
